The 4K classes were amazed by Mrs. Allen and Lenny's ventriloquist show! Mrs. Allen shared her talents with our young learners. This was the perfect way to end our letter V week! V is for ventriloquist.

On April 13-14, Mrs. Gardiner's Accounting students (along with Mrs. Rolli) went on an Accounting Career Awareness Field Trip. The cost of the trip was covered through a WICPA Educational Foundation Grant. On April 13, students toured and met with accountants at Vortex Optics, Duluth Trading Company, and K&A Greenhouse. In the evening, they enjoyed some downtime at Urban Air Adventure Park. On April 14, IGHS alumnus Thomas Reuter, Internal Auditor at TDS, Inc. shared information about his position and the benefits of taking part in internships while in college. Later that morning, we toured Wegner CPAs and had a presentation by Staff Accountant, Caleb Hill, another IGHS alumnus. Wenger CPAs provided us with lunch before we headed back to IGHS.

The 2022 IGHS Forensics team competed at State on Friday, April 8th and submitted virtual entries that were judged last week. The results are in and we have a lot to be proud of this season! Please join us in congratulating these talented performers for earning the following medals: Bronze: Grace, Teris, Ella, Kenadie, Caitlyn & Audrey Silver: Flora, Madelyn, Evie, Gracie & Alexis Gold: Emma, Ivy, Jackie, Abby, Cortney, Meagan, Jayden & Carter

Earlier this month the SWAL Honors Banquet was held at Southwestern High School. At this event Mr. Gotto presented the Iowa-Grant Class of 2022 Valedictorian, Payton S. and Salutatorian, Dylan B. These young men are among excellent company as the top students from each SWAL school have impressive resumes and high aspirations for the future. They shared the celebration with their parents and chosen mentors, Mrs. Jackie Rolli and Mr. Robert Bishop.

Iowa-Grant Golf started their conference season last night, with a SWAL meet at Hickory Grove Golf Course in Fennimore. Weather held up nicely for a good round of golf. Braiden H. lead the team shooting a 49, followed by Cade K. ending with a 56 through 9 holes. Keep improving yourself throughout the season!

4/18/22 Due to weather conditions, softball games @ Darlington AND Track and Field meet @ PdC is cancelled for today. Sorry for any inconvenience. Let’s hope for better weather the rest of the week.

4/15/22 - NOW CANCELLED!!! We wanted to get the games in, but unfortunately due to cold we aren’t going to play tonight. All baseball and softball events have been cancelled.

Tonight 4/15/22 IG Baseball officially is in Highland. JV/V both...5:00p and Jv to follow Bus time: 3:40p IG Varsity Softball has been moved to Cobb due to field conditions. IG Vs Highland. Game time: 5:00p. JV has been cancelled. Good luck to all teams.

Pancake Breakfast for the Iowa-Grant Education Foundation. Funding will be used for Teacher Grants and Senior Scholarships. April 24th, 2022 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, hosted at the Linden Masonic Lodge.
