IGEMS: Return to In Person Instruction

Dear Parents and Community members,

Great news!  The Iowa County Health Department has given us the clearance to return to in person learning at IGEMS.    We continue to be committed to in person learning as many days as possible.  IGEMS students will return to in person learning tomorrow, September 17th.  Buses will run their normal routes.  Students should return with their technology.

For the time being, we will be sending technology home nightly.  Please understand that we may need to return to virtual learning on and off throughout this school year.  We will continue to strive to be in person.

Your cooperation this year is appreciated more than ever.  Please keep students home when they are sick, showing any possible symptoms of COVID, and/or have been in contact with a positive case.  Daily home checks are an important part of IGSD remaining open.  Click here for a link to the Iowa County Schools COVID-19 Response Protocol.

To our parents and guardians, thank you for your patience and understanding as we have worked to navigate an unprecedented situation. We know that the school closures have been incredibly challenging for you and your loved ones. Please know that we are thinking about you and are here to help.

We have a long road ahead of us, but from what we have seen from our community in recent days, I know we will come out of this situation stronger than ever.

Stay well,

Stephanie Hubbard

The state report cards are out ~ IGEMS is a 5 star school!

Each Fall, the Office of Educational Accountability (OEA) at the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) issues Accountability Report Cards for schools and districts in Wisconsin. The report cards present key information related to outcomes for students as measured by statewide assessments, attendance, staying in school, and high school completion.  Whole school performance cannot be captured in any one report, but we are very proud of our students, staff and community for the work that they do each day to help us reach for those 5 stars!
