The Iowa-Grant Board of Education has completed its extensive search for a new superintendent to succeed Ms. Linda Erickson upon her retirement. The Board is happy to announce that Ms. Stephanie Hubbard has been selected and will begin her duties on July 1, 2018.

Ms. Hubbard’s exceptional curriculum focus along with her proven success working with students of diverse backgrounds and experiences makes her a great fit for our district.  Ms. Hubbard’s experience includes her current position as the Director of Special Education at Bemidji School District, Bemidji, MN for the past 6 years; Director of Pupil Services/Special Education at Prescott School District; Transition Coordinator at Stevens Point High School and a Special Education teacher for 15 years.

Ms. Hubbard earned her District Administrator and Superintendent licensures from Hamline University. She completed her Master of Education degree with a minor in reading through Governors State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree through Eastern Illinois University.

The hiring of Ms. Hubbard follows a search by the district that included input from the community, faculty, and staff.  The initial step of the process was a community survey.  Utilizing the results of the survey, the Board identified the next Superintendent’s focus areas.  The school board reviewed applications, supporting documentation, and conducted extensive interviews, during the hiring process.

The Board wishes to thank the members of the community for their valuable input.  A lot of insight was gathered from the community surveys.  Hiring a Superintendent is one of the most important jobs placed upon the Board of Education.  Partnering with the Community was vital to the process for selecting our next Superintendent.
